With the Volve model loaded, the southernmost wells are highlighted using the well map marker. We then rank order these wells according to cumulative oil production at the final time step in the model. From there the least productive well, P-F-15C, is identified. Using FocusRE’s drilldown feature we display the oil, water and gas production rates as well as the bottom hole pressure for this well and display the available historic data. The historic and simulated data is then exported to excel together with an interactive plot for each vector selected. From here any further analysis of the well can be done with ease.
For a multiple realisation workflow with 271 cases, using the Unisim model based on a Brazilian oil field, we start by dragging and dropping various cases into FocusRE’s workspace. We select grouped cases and easily apply some settings changes in order to create a colour scheme for those cases. We export the production and water cut data, as well as the graphs, to excel for a select number of cases followed by a demonstration of the speed with which the remaining cases can be plotted both on a field and well level and how easy it is to organise your visual representations of such large data sets.
We need to generate a presentation on the Volve model’s northern wells. Using our pen marker feature, we select the northern most wells in the Volve model from the well location map. We explore the stacking and summation option allowing us to visualise the production rates and bottom hole pressure for individual wells and all those wells collectively. Then lastly, we export all those plots straight into Powerpoint, ready for some final editing.
